Trying to install a CEPT II formatter card in a LW 34 SX2000. Card is not recognized by the SX2000. Trying to remember what issues I ran into many moons ago when I last did this. Any thoughts? Failing that may reflash the card but can't find the procedure on line anymore to do that.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Hi, I think you need to program it as 'Universal E1' and not as 'CEPT card'

It may self upgrade / downgrade first time it establishes a message link to the SX2000 - don't remove it during this process!

Do a 'mess sub' to see what's happening. 'boot' being displayed for up to 20 minutes would indicate it is talking to main control and is upgrading.

You need a different stub assembly from the usual one as well I think.

Programmed as universal E1 and have the right interface.

You will have to program it in the digital link assignment and assign trunks to it as well before the message link establishes.

Sometimes the CEPT card needs a re-seat after you've programmed the trunks.

Or a dodgy card?

CEPT cards are usually a piece of cake.

three different cards do the same thing. USed the recovery process to flash cards and now everything looks ok.
