I have a Hotel customer with an SX2000 that wants to be able to block phones from dialing other phones on premise unless they are transferred by the Console or other Admin Phone. The phone cannot be set to Hot Dial the front desk due to needing access to 911.

If you know how to do this on the 3300, let me know as I might be able to translate that back in the 2000 programming.

You will need to use interconnect restrictions

Set console to Interconnect 2
Set trunks to interconnect 2
Set Phone to interconnect 3

Allow 1 and 2 full access to one another
Allow 2 and 3 full access to one another

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Thanks for the Help kwbMitel. I had the same thought, but couldn't get it to work. I found out through another Tech that you need Feature Level 3 to get the option "Override Interconnect on Transfer". The customer in question only has Feature Level 1. Mitel stopped allowing any License Changes to the SX2K, so the customer is just out of luck unless they want to upgrade.

You could do it by installing an AC15 or E&M card, (or even dpnss if you have it) and connecting the trunks "back to back". Set these with an unblocked interconnect number and an access code in the ars. An admin phone should then be able to connect the two rooms by dialing the access code + room number.

I havn't ried it but cant see why it wouldn't work
