Hello all,
Putting in an SX200 ICP 5.0.2.14 and we can't call out from the analog room phones. ARS is stopping it. The COR is the same as the IP phones and the IP sets can call out just fine. Tried with the room vacant and occupied....didn't work. Baffled. Is there something in the COS that would prohibit this?

Thanks in advance!

I did not think you needed to program a socket for VM in form 12. You do have to program an iPocket for it. All of mine work just fine.

In form 34, why are you sending Hotel/Motel Wakeup to port 6830?

The rest of your posted programming looks find to me. Have you double checked sub option programming in Form 11 - Data Circuit Descriptor?

I set my Circuit Descriptor Options to the following:
Minimum, Default and Max Baud Rate: 9600
Always Use Default Baud Rate When Called: No
DTR, RTS Force High: Yes
DSR, CTS is held high when device is idle: Yes
Originate a DTRX call with a low->high transition of DTR: No
ASYNC: Keyboard origination allowed: No
ASYNC: ADL Auto Baud: No

ASYNC: Break Key Function: Transparent
ASYNC: Parity: NONE
ASYNC: Character Length: 8
ASYNC: Number of Stop Bits: 1

The rest of the settings I did not list are all set to default settings.

Also, have you tried to set up a Telnet session to your PMS port number to see if data is being sent across the wire?

I'm all set now.

I ended up flipping the PMS and VM sockets. Port 61327 should have been with 1/13/27.....now PMS and VM are working.

The reason I send "hotel/motel wakeup" was because there is no "VM" to choose from in form 34. What do you use?

There is no socket programming required for the VM interface other than the system option.

You may need to adjust the protocol via form 49 (HIS or Encore)

A lot of techs and by that I mean a LOT of techs program a socket in form 12 and mistakenly believe it serves some purpose. It does not.

VM uses socket 6830 and this is canned programming. It cannot be modified.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

What kwbMitel said above...

There's no need to program a socket for VM.

All set here guys, thanks for ALL your help!

You were right, I removed the VM socket and it still works. Then I had to add a DTE profile in Form 34 and tweak the iPocket to get the SMDR to work with the INN-Form.

Thanks again!!
