I'm learning the mitel sx-200ICP and can get around pretty good except a few issues.

the console is an IP5540 and the system is running RLS 5 software

How do you program features to the console softkeys?

I have redial on the F9 key by default but cannot find where it's programmed. Tried form 08 but seems to be only LDN's

Another issue is a customer on an old sx-200 EL has an external message playing on an analog station port for Auto Attendant. I checked the port and found no dial tone and do not know how this is done.

How or where is the station port programmed? Can it be programmed as a RAD on the older systems?

Any help is appreiciated.

Not positive the answers below apply to the 5540. Basing my answers on the SC1000 that the 5540 was modeled on.

The F Keys (Blue on the SC1000)are not softkeys.

There are 2 or three in the second row of white keys left side that can be programmed with a limited number of functions.

The keys are programmed via the console function keys. The cosole manual would be more specific.

Thanks for the info and I found more about it in the PDF's too. Looks like there are only a few firmkeys that can be programmed on the lower set of keys.

Any info on the station port programming?

Thanks

Sorry, I didn't read the whole post earlier.

The message is being provided by a RAD port. RAD's do not have dialtone.

The port will be programmed in form 17 as a member of a RAD hunt group.

The hunt group will have prefix digits defined that match up with some system speed dials except for the last digit.

System Speed Dials are programmed in form 31

If the digit pressed goes directly to an extension then the extension will be defined. If the caller needs to press multiple digits (to dial an extension for e.g.) then you will see a code such as *303. this code means capture more digits in this case 3. *302 would wait for 2 more digits.

e.g.
Speeddial access code = 5
Hunt group prefix digits = 599
hunt group indexes 990 - 999
990 0 (Transfers call to zero)
991 100 (transfers call to 100)
992 *302 (extensions = 2XX)
993 blank
etc

Great, thanks for the info again. I will try to get this going later today. I figured the station port can be programmed as a RAD port but wasn't sure.

The customer has it setup an ext in a hunt group and the port is connected to an old Interalia unit so if people call in it hit this after the no answer timer reroutes here and continues ringing the console as well. The message stopped working so I checked the port to see if it worked and found no dial tone. It ended up being programmed wrong so it didn't reroute, but that was an easy fix.

I appreciate the info so I can figure out how to program it properly.

Thanks
Steve
