SX-2000 Telnet issue

I have a client with an SX-2000. They use telnet to access the individual planes to make changes. They have an issue where the telnet session on Plane B will log off and disconnect after 30 seconds or so. Plane A telnet works fine. Strange thing is, when Plane A disconnects it shows the console actually logging out and ending the session on the controller before disconnecting.

Anyone have any ideas? They also use these connections for CCM and the data delivery works fine.

Without knowing what the network looks like between the PC running the telnet client and the ethernet port on the MC3E, it could be nearly anything along that path.

That is true. My bad for ignoring the network component.

The 2000 Ethernet connections go to a hub (not a switch) which also has the CCM server connected on NIC 1. NIC 2 in the CCM server goes to their data network so clients can connect. Never had a problem until recently. Switching ports in the hub makes no difference. Ethernet cables have also been changed.

What strikes me as interesting is the way plane B disconnects. I can see the 2000 logout the user before the connection goes down.

It could be a faulty MCC III card. If you'd like to try to replace it, PM me as I have spares from retired systems.
