Hi,

We have recently taken over maintenance of an SX-2000 which is managed locally and not via OPS Man. Problem is its being migrated to a 3300 and the database needs to go through a conversion obviously. But without getting a backup to my laptop how would I do this? As far as I am aware currently I could only backup to an RSD....although I could be totally wrong.

Any help would be much appreciated.

There's a Config Tool that runs on a PC to download the SX-2000 database. Part number 50005152.

Lundah, I have looked up that Part Number and I can't see that it exists??

Part number may have changed or it might not be available any longer, but Lundah is right in that there is/was a tool to get the database.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

I've got an old version of it, rls 1.6.0.5 from July of 2005, but it appears to be load-dependent. IE, this one works with the old 3300 MX and SW rls 6 or prior.

Seems I recall at one time the config tool was included on the distribution disk with the load. If you have an MOL Tech-ID you might still be able to download it (a newer one) from Mitel In Line.

My tech ID has long since expired. I'm supporting a Cisco Call Manager today.
