I have been working with a few sx-200 EL models and finding the same problem. I go into form 09 for example and can navigate through parts such as moving through the bay/slot/cct and can even change the COS etc...but cannot quit to exit the form. It hangs until I disconnect and times out.

I'm using windows XP and hyperterminal set to 8 N 1 no flow control, with either a straight through or null cable which both seem to work. Also tried to dial into it with a modem and have the same problem, so it's not a communication problem.

Is there a key sequence to get from the form 09 circuit settings to the bottom part where it says "6 QUIT" etc...???

I'm a Nortel guy and haven't worked much on the older Mitel's

For the CDE form, you need to press the "Esc" key and then the listed soft key number at the bottom. In this case, press Esc + 6 to quit.

While you are in the maintenance forms, you only need to press the digit, Esc is not needed.

Thanks so much I'll give this a try on Monday. I think I tried this but by that point it was locked up or maybe timed out so it didn't work. Actually I think I may have closed hyperterminal and restarted it which just made things worse.

Thanks again.

If you close the terminal and then reconnect, try the Esc 6 and the page should "repaint" the screen. Pressing enter is another option, but I would not recommend it as you may be committing a change that you did not know was there.

Thanks for the info as it works fine. Maybe a little more patience on my side would help too!

My next quest for info is the same site has the Auto attendant as an analog recording device connected to one of the analog station ports. It wasn't working so I pulled the wires off to check the port and found no dial tone.

The problem was the device but the question is how is there no dial tone? How is this port programmed? Is it a COS setting or ???

I just didn't have the time to search through the system to see how it's programmed, and I'm new to the Mitel stuff.

Any input would help me out.
