How do I setup Music on Hold from the ground up?

I see a music on hold device, it has a tape in it, and looks like its programmable to play any number of messages recorded on the tape. I don't want to use the tape, I would just like to pass music through this box, but it doesn't seem to pass the music. I would like to run through the setup step by step if I can to verify its setup correctly.

Also, my SX-200 has a controller hooked to it which has a 1/8" jack on the back labeled Music. Is this where the music should be plugged in??

I'm willing to bet if you simply hook an mp3 player or equivilent up to that jack, you will have MOH.

Usually its pre-programmed on that chassis.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Awesome! so I just need 1/8" to 1/8" do you know if I need a mono or stereo jack?

LOL that worked! I guess its the old saying, keep it simple. I was looking in programming, trying to figure out which 66 block port it went to, etc. LOL
