We are currently running a SX-200 Light phone system with Mitel Mail Nupoint 7.0. I would like to know how/if possible would I be able to do a text dump of certain system information, get that information on a disk, and then format it into something readable

Since our mailbox system is in complete disarray I wanted to get a dump of all configured mailboxes on the system along with distribution lists for tree mailboxes. (Think previous operators had 0 organization skills and never wrote anything down)

Also, a dump of extension numbers by Bay/Slot/Circuit on the SX-200 Light system.

I've been pulling my hair out for almost 2 years now trying to maintain this mess.

Can anyone please please please help me?

Depending on your software level on the SX200 there are several options for text output of the database.

Form 32 allows individual form prints or all forms. you would need a serial device/application connected to the printer port. the printer port would need to be configured via form 34 to be the detination of CDE print jobs.

Optionally, with more recent software, there is an option in form 32 to DISPLAY forms. This will scroll on the screen of the Admin Console and could be captured as it scrolls.

On the nupoint, under the Mailbox Menu. you will see an option for mailbox data. this can be directed to the console and captured as it scrolls on the screen.

For the Distribution lists I am not so sure, but I believe you can request data from a range of mailboxes and capture as it scrolls.

good luck.

I was already aware of those 2 methods, but was looking more towards a write to disk method.

When I mention capturing the info as it scrolls on the screen I do mean having it write to a disk file.

What do you mean?

I'm not sure...haha...I think I misread your response...I'll play around with that idea and see what I can come up with.

Thanks
