Is it possible to have two PMS interfaces on a single PBX? I have a hotel that is now two hotels in one with two separate PMS systems. I programmed IP port 61320 for PMS and got the interface working via iPocket on one PMS. I then programmed IP port 61321 as a second PMS port (form 34 accepted this without complaint). When I connected the second iPocket neither interface worked and I got some kind of "packet flood" alarms I've never seen before on the system. If I deleted 61320 from form 34, 61321 started working. Does anyone know a way to get this working or did Mitel never consider two hotels on one PBX even a possibility and only allow one interface at a time? Can I get a dataset and put it on a DNIC port or does the ICP only do PMS over IP?

You will need 2 systems.

We just went through this exercise on a new property that was being built as a dual property. We either had to install 2 x SX200's and network them via IP for inter-connectivity or we needed a 3300 with a special voicemail from Innline that can interface to 2 properties simultaneously and talk to the 3300 on 1.

Based on this experience, I think you're hooped.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I to have run into dual branded hotels. Dual branded hotels are on the rise and becoming increasingly popular because they're cheaper to build. A couple of years ago is when I ran into one. I programmed the system EXACTLY the way you did above, dirtcheap, and it did not work for me. I went to Mitel about it and they explained that the system was not designed to handle receiving messages from two pms systems for the same features. There is no programming in the PBX to enable it to look for two PMS systems. Even if you have two ports specified in Form 12 it should just take the first one that comes online. It sees PMS once and stops looking for another source.

They went on to explain that it could be done with TigerTMS, which they had just acquired. I can't remember the cost but it was several thousand dollars. I believe TigerTMS has since been rebranded or assimilated into the Mitel Hospitality Application Suite. Per kwbMitel, it doesn't work with the SX200 but it does work with MiVoice Hospitality and I think it will work with the Mitel 400 after it's released.
