We have an SX 200 ICP with a SX 200 peripheral cabinet connected to it. We programmed up a DNIC card in the peripheral cabinet andit shows all 4025 sets as being installed. We cannotchange the set type to SS 430s which is what we want to program on the card.

Any ideas why the swithc is not allowing the change? Can it be software verison related?

I suspect you are trying to change a phone that is already programmed.

The only time you can assign the set type is on a vacant port.

When selecting the vacant port, menu option 4 will say "Device Type"

If that is not the problem, then check in form 4. You need to have an option for SS400 series set types enabled. This is purchasable. Not sure exactly which option # it is, but it would be in the 80-99 range.

What makes you think that you have time to fix it?

Paterson is correct.

Depending on what you want, you need either the SS4000 series option/ SS400 Series option/ or both.

You also need TDM device licenses.

the device option will be there to choose in form 9 even if option 98 is disabled. It just won't work. Expensive option

Thanks for the rpelies all, will definitely check out the device option select. We are a business partner of Mitel, we get good customer support from their engineers when we can get a hold of them, and its cheap. The problem is, they are in no hurry to support partners who are not paying customers per se! Haha
