Here's the scenario:
System - SX-200 ICP AX Cabinet
The property(Hotel)has a strait T1 with one DID - 6000.
They have two 5540 IP Consoles and want inbound calls to ring on both consoles.
My solution: I created a hunt group, gave it an access code, and added both of the console extensions to it. I pointed T1s inbound calls to the hunt group number. The results:
Both consoles ring when the main number is being called.
INbound call comes in from T1, console A(400) answers it.
Console A is busy. A second call comes in via T1. Console B(401) answers it.
A third inbound call from the T1 comes in but neither console is being alerted via visual or audio alerts.
I went into the console and set up console A(400) as overflow. Then I changed the que timer to 00:05 seconds.
Now when both consoles are busy and a third call comes in, it overflows to Console A(400) after 5 seconds.
I consider this to be a temporary band-aid for my customer and I'm not happy with it. Is there a better solution via programming?
Thanks
