SX-200 EL....trunk port for paging??

I need to supply a loop start trunk port for paging.....I picked an unused bay/slot/circuit...gave it a trunk number...programmed it as a CO line appearance on a key on all my supersets....but when you select the line I get (what I assume) is ARS dialtone back instead of being immediatley attached to the trunk....can I get it to grab the trunk immediately???

in the trunk cct descriptor there is an option to bypass system toll control. Enabling bypass will seize the trunk directly
