I'm just getting my feet wet with this, I was wondering if there are any specifications for the port that the call manager server gets plugged into.

I assume the server needs to access both our data (native) vlans and the voice vlan - how is this configured on the switch? As far as I know I can only make a switchport part of one vlan...

You might need to trunk this port ?. Check the IOS command syntax as I cannot remember it.

You can put it on whichver vlan you like, as long as there is a way for the IP endpoints to get to the CCM, its fine..

"interface fas x/x"
switchport mode access
switch access vlan <vlan#>
mls qos trust dscp

Thats good enough to get you what you need
