Option 11
VERSION 1411
RELEASE 21
ISSUE 44 +

Current carrier Bell = NI1
Future carrier Rogers = NI2 (so I am told)

Note from tech that did survey:
The Current PRI D-Channel card will not support NI2. The D-Channel daughterboard must be a MSDL, not a DCHI as it is currently.

Problem:
I have 2 other techs that disagree and say it should work fine as is.

Need some input/opinions before I sell on hardware.

Thanks

You also need software package 291

LD 22
req: Prt
Type: PKG

-johnpoole says I need to change the card as well.
-Reusser gave a part number that seems to be DDCH and not MSDL?
Also why do I need to print the package?

MSDL seems to be a card and not a daughterboard.

Getting more confusing now.....I am BCM/Nortar ex tech so PBX not my forte, sorry!

NTBK51BA is a daughtercard that connects to the PRI card you already have NTRB21

The NTBK51BA is programmed as a MSDL and only card you need to replace

You need to print packages to verify you have package 291. If you don't, no need to get card as NI2 will not work anyway.

Curly you may have that package but it's always a good a idea to be sure

Release 21 may be an issue here. TMDI isn't supported below release 24 and the downloadable d-channel - NTBK51BA - may have hit the market with release 22, 23, or 24.

If there is an open card slot in the main cabinet try and program a T1/PRI with an MSDL based NI2 dch and see if it takes.

The existing d-channel daugther board should support protocals D100, D250, ESS4, ESS5, and ...
