Two weeks ago we switched our local phone service from one carrier to another. Now I have a handful of extensions that are having problems. This is the problem:
Ext. 1234 (Jane Doe) can receive incoming calls from local and long distance callers but when her mom calls (locally), she gets a fast busy signal. Her mom hangs up and calls another extension in our building and gets through fine.
Her mom is calling from a different Central Office. I've called the local phone company and they ran a test call from her Central Office to Jane Doe's direct extension. The phone company didn't have any problem reaching Jane Doe.
I've checked the protocols between my switch and the local Central Office, they are fine.
The local phone company won't do anything else to help.
What am I missing?
