We've had this one dumped on us with the usual "we need it now" and I'm not even sure if it is possible. It's been a while since I was on the Meridian, so memory is fading (we will get maintainers in if required).
Right we have an Option 81 (rel 25) at Head office. On here are 4 2250's that form the switchboard.
They have now decided they want another person at a side neraby, but they want the person still to be part of the switchboard. At this site is an Option 11 with mainly 500's and 2216 /2616's. There is no console at site.
The two systems are "connected" via a q931 ISDN.
We also have an unused ITG in the 81 (main office).
So we are stuck.
Is there anyway of getting a console on the remote site, that behave as if it is part of the main switchboard?
We keep coming up with ideas, but all have flaws.
IP phone (into 81) looks ok, but then will switchboard be able to see if it is ringing, how will it cope with putting people on hold, tansfers etc etc.
If we put a console on the 11, I'm guessing this will be totally "blind" to main switchboard, in that they can't see it ringing etc.
We are also worried that if we hunt to this remote phone and no one answers or is busy , if we send it back, it may end up looping.
Does anyone have any suggestions if it is possible to have a remote switchboard, integrated with the main one? If so, how would it be done?
Thanks,
Stu..
