I have made several different switchboards for different depts. But some of these departments need to view the same forms. on my switchboard once they choose the form they need to look at i then have the switchboard close. then once the form is closed i then have it re-open. that worked fine when i only had one switchboard. i am using the system.mdw file. what i was thinking was, is there a way to tell the system if this person is logged in then open this form?

Thanks in Advance DVannoy

I used a small 'log in' form to set the value for a global variable to track who was using the database.
Also, I don't close the switchboard. Set it's Visible property to False. That's usually faster as well.
