Switch support for Cat 2900 XL/MXL

Hi,
although officially supported, I was never able to get the switch feature work with a Catalyst 2900 xl or mxl. It always says "failed to load switch configuration".
Hovever, this works with a Cat 4000 (using the cat5000 type in Sniffer).
Sniffer version is 4.60.01.

Hi, The Cisco Cat 2900 XLNT and MXLNT aren't supported switches, so they won't work with the 2900 switch MIBs. I do have the switch patchs for these 2 switches, if you tell me your email address I'll forward them to you. Obviously you can't get official support for them from NAI, but I can vouch they work properly as they were written for us. Yours, Alf

BTW, if you have script files for other &quot;not initiallly supported&quot; Cisco switches, like the 4000, they are also welcome.
A nice guy in ths forum has alredy sent me the 3548 scripts.

The switch patches are available and supported..all you have do is ask.

The 2900 series are all supported in the 4.7 release of Sniffer.

The following series of the 2900 are supported when installing the patch, so in fact there are 4 switches that will work instead of the two.

Cisco Catalyst 2900XL, CiscoCatalyst2900XL.swc
Cisco Catalyst 2900MXL, CiscoCatalyst2900MXL.swc
Cisco Catalyst 2900XLNT, CiscoCatalyst2900XLNT.swc
