Can someone please tell me how I can find out what IP segments are on my switch? Thanks.

Generally, switches do their thing based on MAC addresses not IP addresses.

If I'm on segment 1 and connect to a machine on segment 2 that connection's traffic is on segments 1 and 2.

I guess what I really mean is what command can I run in a DOS box to find out the IP segments used by my router?

You'll have to ask the router to display it's routing table.

If want to know what segment you are on for a workstation at the dos prompt type "ipconfig" and this will give you the address and the default gateway (router address) that it is pointed to .

I'm confused, are you looking to find your IP subnet, or your network segment?
