List trace shows Switch is not inserting "00" when user redial using missed call log to international destination and the call fails. The call goes through fine when user manually dial the digits.

User is at remote location off main site.

what needs to be done to resolve this issue?

Cm 5.x,s8720

thanks

I assume you are talking about 96XX IP Phones? If so you need to modify the settings in the "46xxsettings.txt" file, the setting for LD prefix is called "PHNLD", see below, thos are US Options, for the UK (which I assume you are in) they would be a little different.

SET PHNDPLENGTH 4
SET PHNLDLENGTH 10
SET PHNOL 9
SET PHNLD 1
SET PHNIC 11
SET PHNCC 1

Thanks Mitch,

We have 4610 phones. Here is Enhanced dialing rules which looks ok.

############# ENHANCED LOCAL DIALING RULES ###############
##
## These settings affect certain dialing behaviors, such as
## dialing numbers from the incoming Call Log or from web
## pages
##
## Dialing Algorithm Status
## Controls whether algorithm defined by parameters in
## this section is used during certain dialing behaviors.
## 0 disables algorithm.
## 1 enables algorithm, but not for Contacts
## 2 enables algorithm, including Contacts (96xx SIP only)
SET ENHDIALSTAT 1
##
## Country Code
## For United States the value is '1'
SET PHNCC 49
##
## Internal extension number length
## If your extension is 12345, your dial plan length is 5.
## On 46xx phones, the maximum extension length is 10.
## On 96xx phones, the maximum extension length is 13.
## This value must match the extension length set on your
## call server.
SET PHNDPLENGTH 7
##
## International access code
## For the United States, the value is 011.
SET PHNIC 00
##
## Long distance access code
SET PHNLD 0
##
## National telephone number Length
## For example, 800-555-1111 has a length of 10.
SET PHNLDLENGTH 10
##
## Outside line access code
## The number you press to make an outside call.
SET PHNOL 9

see PHNLDLENGTH is set to 10, shall i change it to 12?

ALSO in tftp directory i see 46xxsettings.txt file and also
another old46xxsettings file, how do i check which file is taken by 4610 phone when i reboot phone?

only the current file is used (46xxsettings.txt).

Are you sure the file is being downloaded? Check your TFTP logs, while booting a 46XX IP phone, you make find your DHCP server's Option #176 is mis-adminsitered, and the file may not even be downloaded...

Hi Mitch,

Our TFTP server is 8300 itself. How do i check TFTP logs?

is there any other way to check if phone downloaded updated settings file?

List ars route-chosen shows it is taking route pattern 403 and when i display route pattern 403, i see blank under
"inserted digits".

Avaya says this function will work only if we insert "00"
under inserted digits for route pattern 403.

Now what confuses is when i display all other route patterns
i dont see "00" inserted!!

Pls guide...

ALSO,

see below for route chosen 41447555661 location 60 excluding "9" and international code "00" the call taking route 403. But when i do route chosen 90041447555661 location 60 i see call taking route patter 407!!!

Pls guide which route pattern it should take? Do we need to add 9 and 00 for list route chosen?

list ars route-chosen 41447555661 location 60
