Hi, hopefully this is a pretty basic question!

Have created a simple Flash movie, as an introduction to a site I look after, but want to import a movie made in Swish into it to start playing at about frame 100.

Can anyone let me know how to do this?

Also, does anyone know a decent site which will guide me through making a preloader.

Thanks for your help.

When I import a (.swf) file in Flash MX it would go to the first frame, so I just select all imported frames and drag them to the starting frame that I need (example: 100)

Good luck,
Simon

Import your SWiSH swf into a blank movie clip. That way, you can easily move the text effect around the stage. So just plop the movie clip that contains the SWiSH effect onto frame 100 and away you go.

As for creating a preloader, flashkit.com or kirupa.com have good examples.

Create a new scene then import it on that scene. Then on the frame put Go to and Play Scene1,frame1

Or you can use "loadMovie();" :

loadMovie ("swish.swf", _root.loadarea); Regards
