Hi, anybody here has an idea how to change user in DOS command.. [ponder]

THANKS

Hi,
What is the reason for you wanting to switch the user is "dos command"? Are you writing a script?

If it is just a certain app you are trying to run under another user would the "runas" command be of any help?

Jesse

Yeah, you are right Jesse.. RUNAS is the answer.. THANKS MAN!.. [dazed]

Other than editing the registry remotely...Do you have any idea how to change the ip address remotely to the clients using dos command[ponder]

THANKs MAN!

Hi Again,
What OS are the client's using? Windows XP PRO?

Thanks,
Jesse

Hi again computerME,
I am just wondering why you can't use remote desktop to log into the client pc's remotely and then change the IP addresses. Is there a reason you have to do it by dos command?

Jesse

Because, I want to do a batch file script. And sometimes a little newtwork maintenance.. [bigsmile]

Why use a batch file? Because perhaps he has to change the IP on 100 different computers.

As for doing it in a batch file, again, see my earlier post on Netsh

Hi lwcomputing.. Yes you'r right I have more than 100 clients and all of them have static IP addresses. Can I change thier IP addresses by using the GP Policy script with the NETSH?

Any idea.. [ponder]
