I work at a nursing home. We have an extension for each nurse's station. However, the nurses aren't always able to answer the phone for various reasons, so we have another employee to assist in answering calls. Right now, each of the nurses' extensions is set to "call forward both ring" to that employee's extension.

We'd like to add a third extension to ring simultaneously, so, for example, if extension 126 is dialed, it rings along with 139 and 549, but if nobody answers the call goes to the voicemail on 126 (we have UM8000, not InMail, if that matters). What's the best way to accomplish this?

They are all digital phones. I know how to create a virtual extension and to add it to a phone. So if I'm understanding what you're saying, the process would be to create a virtual extension and add it to all of the phones I want to ring. Then I'd set the call forwarding for the extension that's dialed (126, for example) to forward to the virtual extension.

No. Add the VE (can be a real extension number) then assign ringing by mode on that button per extension. Does NOT need to be an actual key can be made to ring on keys not on phones ex..button 25 on a 24 button phone.

Oh, okay, thanks. I didn't realize that you could use a real extension as a virtual extension on another phone.
