Hello,

I am trying to use the PBX's night mode rather than the InMail so that I can utilize the holiday schedule which I don't think is possible when using InMail. We have SIP trunks so I setup the DID rather than DIL. What I am missing is how I tie CMD12-02 and CMD12-04 to CMD22-10. Is there something in CMD22-13 that needs to be configured also? I tried to make sense of this in the programming manual but it doesn't outline all the related/necessary commands. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

This is a handful for someone not trained or familiar with this system. I suggest you contact your vendor to do this.
However, With 22-02 set to DID, it follows MB's 22-10, 22-11, 22-13.
In 22-10 you divide up your DID tables to those that do not follow night mode switching and those that do.
EX: 22-10, DID table area 01, set to 1 - 100 1st area and 101 to 200 to 2nd area
DID table area 02, set to 1 - 100 1st area and 201-300 2nd. NOTE tables 1-100 will not follow night mode. Tables 101 to 200 follow mode 1 (day) and tables 201-300 follow mode 2 (night), If you want holiday mode, set up 03, 1-100 1st, 301-400 2nd.
Make sure the DID trunk group (ex 01) is set up as; TKGP 01 1,2,3,4. This follows the groups set in 22-10
22-11, program up tables 1-100 with any DID's that do not follow nights. Table 101-200 with day mode routing that follows mode switching. Tables 201-300 with night mode (2) routing. Holidays can use 301-400 (mode 3)
If you want automatic switching, set 12-01-02 to on (checked).
12-02 01, start time 00:00 (midnight) to 08:00 night mode 2 = night routing
08:00 to 17:00 night mode 1 (day routing), and 17:00 to 00:00 night mode 2 back to nights. The system cannot roll over midnight therefore you need 3 entries.
12-03 night mode group 1, set days that you are closed to 2 and days open to 1
If you insist on auto night with holidays, 12-04, set each holiday date to a schedule pattern used in 12-02.
I do not suggest using auto holiday since they change year to year and nobody remembers to go back in and change it annually.
Apply and upload only your changes, not all and not with hardware checked.

Hello Belevedere,

You are like my own personal savior. Thanks again for helping me with my IPK II a few weeks back. We ported over the settings you helped me with in the IPK II to our new SV9100. Here's what I did last night before posting this thread.

1) 12-02: Set for Time Schedule Pattern 1.
2) 12-03: Weekdays = 1 and Sat/Sun = 2.
3) 12-04: Configured 05/17 = 1.
4) 22-10: 01 = 1st area 1-50 & 2nd area = 101-200, 02 1st area = 51-100 & 2nd area = 101-200, 03 1st area = 201-250 & 2nd area = 101-200
(Note: It was explained by the vendor that DID Table area 01 is for day mode, 02 is for night and I could use 03 for holiday)
5) 22-11: 01=301, 51=297, 201=298
(Note: Created virtual 297 and 298)
6) 47-03: Added 297 & 298 as routing mailboxes and set them to #2 and #3 AA greetings respectfully
7) 24-09-01: Changed 297 & 298 to Call Forward All Call
8) 12-02: Enabled Automatic Night Mode

I guess I missed something though as it doesn't work as I am getting the day greeting even though 5/17/18 is flagged as a holiday. The above steps were provided by the vendor. Also, 22-13, Trunk Group 001 has mode 1=1, mode 2=2, mode 3-8 = 1. Not sure if I am supposed to change something there.

Thanks again for your time and effort!

22-10: 01 = 1st area 1-50 & 2nd area = 101-200, 02 1st area = 51-100 & 2nd area = 101-200, 03 1st area = 201-250 & 2nd area = 101-200
Your second area tables are the same for day, night and holiday. It will always play day greeting.
EX: 01, 1-50, 51-100
02, 1-50, 101-200
03, 1-50, 201-300
tables 1-50 do not change with night mode switching,
51-100 = day
101-200 = night
201-300 = holiday as long as 22-13 is set as 01, 1,2,3,4

Following up, I also programmed the Night Mode button on my phone but it also does not seem to be working. Here is what I setup:

1) 20-06: Set my extension to 15 for all modes
2) 20-07-01: Enabled this for COS 15
3) 15-07: Added 09-Night Mode Switching to one of my keys
4) 15-20: Named the key
5) 12-08: Enabled Lamp settings of toggle key for Night Mode Service Group 01
6) 12-01: Enabled Manual Night Mode Switching

When I press the night mode button, it lights up and displays <Night> in the bottom left of the LCD so I assume it is in night mode.

Thanks again!!

Thank you for the help! I think we solved it thanks to you. I had only configured Time Schedule pattern #1 as I stated above. Time Schedule pattern #2 and #3 were default with the Automatic Night Service Patterns for 01-10 all set to 1. When I changed Time Schedule Pattern #2 to use Automatic Night Service Pattern 2, the night message now plays when I enable night mode from my desk phone. I then went back to 12-02 and selected Time Schedule pattern #3 and changed it to use Automatic Night Service Pattern 3. Then the holiday message played and the lamp on my Night Mode Button now flashes when that is active vs a solid on when it is in night mode. So from what I can tell, the DID Translation Table Area = Automatic Night Service Patterns. I wish the language was cleaner but I am sure it makes sense to someone that has been properly trained on these systems.

The one thing I was curious about is that it was far easier to just use InMail for Day/Night. Does InMail allow similar use to 12-04 for holidays? How would you handle holidays if you just wanted to use InMail but wanted the process to be automatic?

Thanks again!

In-mail does not have a holiday mode, however through the phone you can change the message to override and pre-record a message, then switch it on or off.

One last thing. I have to setup about 50 phones this weekend. Is there anyway to push the Licensing Server info from the DHCP settings in 10-16? I would rather not have to program it manually on each phone.

Thank you!

So using InMail for a holiday, I could setup an override in 47-11 that could be toggled from a phone?

Yes. It can also be used for unscheduled closures and be turned on or off remotely, as long as a system administrator can get to their mailbox from the outside.
