Hi all,

We've got a customer whos SV9100 contains nothing apart from the CP10 processor with a VoIP card on it and 2 x 16 port DLCA cards. There is no system port capacity for SLT's, only 32 MLT's. I have just noticed that a couple of ports on one of the system's DLCA cards are showing as SLT's. One of them has been named "Faulty?" by one of my former colleagues, and the other is labeled as a conference room although I don't know what type of phone they've got plugged into it, if any at all.

Is there maybe a card fault that makes the system think these are SLT ports? Indeed if I go into Blades I can see the discrepancy there too, as per the 2nd picture below. Is there a simple setting somewhere that I can use to toggle a port between MLT/SLT maybe? I don't think so but I thought I'd check, and I couldn't find anything like that.

Any ideas at all, please?

Thanks

I've just seen that if I select "Configure Card" by right-clicking it in the Blades view I can choose from a drop-down what type of port it is. The 2 ports in question are set to "SLT Adapter". I do seem to be able to select MLT from the list. I know for sure that there are no adapters of any kind connected to these 2 ports. Maybe there's a cabling fault somewhere that makes the system think there is? I don't know if I should change them to MLT or just leave them as they are - they've been like it for years.

@CoralTech Yes that's what I was thinking too, maybe there was an adapter in one of the ports and the port became faulty at some point so it was moved to the other port. Now, I didn't think we'd installed any adapters with this system, indeed I've never seen a MLT to SLT adapter and to be honest I'd never even heard of one. However, I have just found this picture which was taken of the system few years ago, possibly when an engineer was first installing it, and I see a white box tucked away next to the 2 Cisco routers which says "CONF PHONE" on it. It appears to be cabled into port 32 on the patch panel and I know that port 32 is also "Conf Phone" in the NEC config, so that would make sense although it appears there was nothing plugged into the other side of it when the picture was taken. Do you recognise this white box? Is that the adapter? Is it NEC equipment?

**Edit** I've just found them online. I've never seen one before but the white box in the picture is definitely an NEC SLT Interface Adapter. I guess every day's a school day.

Thanks
