I have a department that would like to have some extension’s Trunk restrictions change automatically at night. Our switch was not installed with day/night preprogramed. Our clock time is however correct in the switch.

I followed the sample (00) in the “Univerge SV8300 Command Manual” with the the commands settings as follows:

Default Pattern of Time Schedule (CM4A Y=90)
• Default Pattern No. 0 (CM4A Y=90 2nd data: 00)

CM4A Y (cmd) 1ST 2ND MEANING OF SETTING
00 00-63 00 Calendar No. 1 is used for the tenant
01 0101-1231 10 Week schedule No. 0 is used for all date
10 1-5 20 Time schedule No. 0 is used for Monday through Friday
10 0, 6 27 Time schedule No. 7 is used for Saturday and Sunday
20 0000-0855 01 0:00-9:00 is Night Mode for Time schedule No. 0
20 0900-1655 00 9:00-17:00 is Day Mode for Time schedule No. 0
20 1700-2355 01 17:00-24:00 is Night Mode for Time schedule No. 0
27 0000-2355 01 0:00-24:00 is Night Mode for Time schedule No. 7

(I did not change all the in-between dates’ settings as I thought the system would see the beginning and end dates as no change markers and the default is scheduled 0 which is what i used) There was no change in my Trunk restriction class (cmd 12:01) when night mode should have started. I am not sure about or if I should change cmd 4A:90 (Default Pattern) for the different Tenant numbers. What else am I missing? Thank you for the help

The Default pattern is set up with the system CPU in the OFF LINE mode. You can place the system into the off line mode (no call traffic operation), however if you are not experienced with the system I do not suggest you try it. I suggest you use one of the other modes. You will have to set up all of the entries. It is a lot of work.
If you have a command manual, it will have the note "OFF LINE" listed by command entry 90.

Thank you for your reply. With the help of our Network dept we worked off line to increase the SMDR storage. They will not be able to assist me for a several months so;
if I go the long way do I need to fill in all days (Cmd 4a: 01) and fill in all hours (Cmd 4a: 20)? I think I also need to set the System Calendar 4a:00:90 correct? The days of the week I already set all. Any other commands I am missing?
