sV8100 trunk issue, get busy

On A SV81000 you can get dialtone but sometes the trunks will come up with fast busy on direct access
Upgraded to Sv9100 see problem
Changed cablemodem and handoff
49volts DC at idle
Reversing polarity
Changed trunk card and chassis
When we put in sv8300 for test problem went away
Only on this platform does the problem sparaticly occur
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Again you can get dialtone but sometimes even of line is idle will get a fast busy than problem seems to correct itself
 
Check the following;
14-02-05, Dial Tone Detection for Manually Accessed Trunks Enable/Disable dial tone detection for directly accessed trunks. If disabled, the system outdials on the trunks without monitoring for dial tone. Default is 0, not used.
14-02-09, Busy Tone Detection, Default is 0, disable.
14-02-11, Next Trunk in Rotary if No Dial Tone Enable/Disable the system ability to skip over a trunk if dial tone is not detected. This option pertains to calls placed using Speed Dial, ARS, Last Number Redial or Save Number dialed. It does not pertain to line key or
Direct Trunk Access calls. Default is disable.
14-02-14, loop/ground start. Make sure all trunks are set properly.
 
Checked all.these commands
Rekeyed entire database from scratch
New chassis
New CPU
New cards
Same problem
Dialtone at cable modem works fine but when you cycle through the line appreance trunks sometimes you can't grab dialtone and get busy signal even if trunk is idle. We put a buttset in line with trunk and dialtone is there so.carrier is stating there is no problem.


It's seems like a old loop suprvision issue maybe voltage

Any other thoughts would be greatfull. Thanks a million
 
Time to go back to basics. Check all wiring, looking for bad xconn pins, corrosion, etc. Measure loop current and voltage. NEC always needed 26 to 50 mA, ~48v. Verify there are no 1/2 taps. Alarm systems? FAX machines, etc.
 
Belevedere isnt there a document on calibrating the CO lines on a SV9100. I dont do co lines that often but remember seeing something about it

On the SL series systems its MB 90-68 through telephone programming. Do each trunk individually, then a system reset is required.
 
So here was the problem.

The cable modem was attached to cable amplifier splitter....
When I applied a ground to it the problem was gone
When the ground was removed it came back.
We tested this for about 3 hours
The amplifier needed to be replaced by Cablevision
 
So it was because a physical fault, Nice and I learnt something.
