For years our SV8100 was fed from a T1 (TelePacific) utilizing a VOIP-to-analog conversion cable from the router. We recently switched to straight POTS lines (AT&T) and now have an intermittent/recurring problem where we can't hear callers on incoming calls but they can hear us. One or sometimes two callbacks are necessary for a successful connection.

Both our NEC vendor and AT&T have tackled this with no luck - any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is no such thing as a straight potts (copper) line anymore. At some point between your system and AT&T it is a VoIP or SIP conversion. In a VoIP situation this it is usually a UDP port that is not opened up.
There is a copper line conditioning command in the sl1100 and probably in the 8100 as well. It is run on copper lines to automatically set several parameters. It may help out if it is a true copper potts arrangement. MB 90-68, run from phone programming or from web programming (cannot be run from pcpro). A system reset is required afterward.
In a pure IP environment I'd suggest looking at MB 86-24 and licensing, as well as how many DSP's you have.

belevedere - thanks for your input. Yes, we are using IP phones at the locations where this problem is occurring.

Are you using VPN or port forwarding? If it's port forwarding then check the router on site for the proper settings.
UDP ports 10020-10083 to the IP address in 84-26 (used for voice). Ports 5060-5061 - for data.
