Hi,

I have a phone (extension 100) that has to be able to call a specific external phone number. All other external numbers have to be blocked.

I tried this: Blocked trunk access for extension 100. let it call to a virtual extension (300) and set that virtual to call forward to the external phone number. Unfortunately That doesn't work because even when it goes via the virtual, the outside trunk is not allowed for extension 100.

I Also tried this: giving extension 100 trunk access, but set maximum number digits (21-06) to 4 digits. Unfortunately no success either, because extension 100 is set to maximum 4 digits, it won't call more then that, even when it's forwarded via the virtual.

Any suggestions?

with regards,
Jeroen

If the extension(100) does not need to called make it a hotline with a destination of the 1 one number you want it to call.

Hi 3racefan3,

Thank you for your input. With a normal wired phone this would be the best solution, I agree! The problem is the location, there is no phoneline available so this is a dect Gigaset phone with the base station on another location.
To "pick up" the phone you have to hold the green send button for 1 or 2 seconds. Most people dial first and then press the send button. But if you do that with hotline on, it puts the digits behind the number of the hotline.

It's a Dect wireless off an analog port

Well, hot line this extension and set the timer for 1 second. Adjust the port for dial pulse so it ignores the DTMF from the base. Just an idea.

Well, it seems to work now. "Adjust the port for dial pulse so it ignores the DTMF from the base" I didn't do that. Timer is set to 0 seconds. Sometimes thinks just work suddenly :)
