SUSE OSS 10.1 NIS and NFS issues

I'm having trouble with a SUSE OSS 10.1 install that authenicates with a Windows 2003 AD (running services for unix). This works without problems except when I add a couple of NFS mounts. When I add two mounts, the YPBIND seems slow to complete (actually cannot login as user) until about 30-45 seconds after reboot is complete. Additionally, the first NFS mount is not avail but the second one is. (swapping the order of the mounts) still results in the same.

any help?
