Hi

Has any one found a way to register phones on CS1000 (via SMG) without using AC1 or AC2 + HLOC + DN?

It works fine using the above, but on the SMG set i see e.g. User:86662000. I would rather just see User:2000 on the display as this can be confusing and unsightly for the user.

On SRG's and SBO's it works using the BUID which is manually configured, so i see User:DN as expected. But with SMG the NUID is automatic.

Any thoughts?

probably just need to remove LOC number assigned in CLID assigned to phones.

You can also registar using CDP but it has to fit in your numbering plan and NRS has to be setup to recognize.

There is a patch available that removes the USER:xxxxxxxx
Contact your distributor to have it installed.

It is a PI Patch, but provided free last I checked with no PLM approval required.

Nortel Emergency Services PLM

Check out this month's E911 Talk podcast at Nortel E911 Talk Podcast

Nortel911PLM you wouldn't have an MPLR number for that would you I just had a search about but can't see it. I have just done an SMG + 1000E 5.5 and it was the first thing the customer complained about.

I have checked the NTP on the CDP redirection of sets, but it only details the UDP configuration.

Have you had this working with CDP redirection and how?

Go with the patch and program the system as designed. You will have fewer headaches in the long run because if and when there is a problem Nortel will not support the configuration without using what is in the documentation.

Will a VW pull a camper? Yea but I would not recommend it because it was not designed for that.

5th wheel works best keeps the weight centered in the middle of the roof....HA HA

I have searched the espl and knowledge base for MPLR19430 but can't find any reference?

Is the patch on public view?

Was going to come back to you on that Fletch as I could not find the other number nor could my Nortel contact. Didn't want to hyjack this Thread though.

Cheers,

Andy.
