Hiya all, I would like to know if there is a way I could prevent myself from being redirected when i'm surfing the net. I was on a web site this morning, and all of a sudden I was sent to another site then another. My gosh, I seen things so nasty (could believe my eyes)and don't want my children to see. It wouldn't stop redirecting me, i must of have 10-12 web sites open. It didn't stop until my computer hung (there is a God).

try turning up the privacy settings on ie6. Goto Tools -->Internet Options-->privacy and change the slider bar to a higher setting. Note that some sites won't work on a higher setting as it can block cookies (which is not always a bad thing). Also if you are worried about inappropraite content turn on the content advisor on the content tab. alternatively get a pop-up blocker (stopzilla is one such program ).

Also some firewall programs will block unwanted popups (I use zonealarm pro which is the best arounnd and easy to use).

If it annoys Microsoft then it's worth doing, and doing well!!
