Keep being redirected to mobile versions of websites

I am not using a mobile device but every time I try to access

http://www.cnn.com

I get redirected to m.cnn.com and the same goes for

http://www.evite.com

it goes to m.evite.com. I deleted cookies and temporary files. Anyone know how to fix that?

I think there is something going on, and you're not the only one. I've found other discussions in the MS newsgroups of users getting mobile sites and several referring to particular sites displaying incorrectly (which might be the same thing). There might be a connection to some similar problems with a .Net framework update (perhaps KB951847?). If you're interested in some detective work, try uninstalling the .net framework updates one at a time & see if something reverses this behavior.

You could switch to using Firefox as your default browser. It's fast, and has many add-ons available.
