Okay i dont know whats up with this but when I am surfing the net it seems like my connection is HORRIBLE, with almost ANY site i visit it is noticably slower than it used to be. Weird thing is I am getting the SAME download speeds as normal when i download files and my ping in online multiplayer games is great. What gives?? I reinstalled my browser and i cleaned my cookies, any unwanted plugins and extensions. Im using Firefox too, had it for a long time...i have no clue whats up i've tried it all and it just seems that it wont get any faster as far as surfing the net. I am currently on a broadband connection. I think i've covered everything that I know (included the obvious things that i didnt list :p)

If your DNS is broken, it may be waiting on a bad primary DNS server before trying the secondary DNS server.

I would add a new primary DNS to se if that clears it up.

OpenDNS has 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

This would not effect downloads much, as they do not change sites mid download.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

So how do i do all that you just said? And how do i know which DNS to add?

I changed a few things with my Spybot S&D and it got a bit better but it still hiccups alot when I try to look at pages that have embedded video or some pictures (ie. myspace)

I have discovered that my IE runs ALOT faster than my firefox....so maybe i'm thinkin it is the program, but I've reinstalled firefox multiple times and still no luck....

Also, I still get hung up with IE SOMETIMES. I'm thinking maybe its a RAM problem, but I wouldn't know where to begin with fixing that....
