Surestore DAT and MSbackup

A client of mine has been using an HP surestore to backup the network using MSbackup successfully for 2 years. On Friday they logged the backup machine in as usual and the "Backup" button was greyed out. The tape had been used several times before, no tape could be made to backup. Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this?

We have had a similar problem. For 2 years it worked fine and then it wouldnt run. We are now trying to install Veritas Backup exec and it wont pickup the HP sure store 20/40.
