Hi there,
To preface: Using Crystal 9, SQL2K, Win2K Server.

I'm trying to create footers that will only display on certain pages. Specifically, I have a "blank" footer as footer a and set to underlay all sections thereafter. Then, in footers b - <whatever> I just have some numbers and stuff put in. I have these footers set to be only visible when page number = x. That part works great! I get the underlay and whichever other page footer to put in it's stuff just fine. What I'm having trouble with though is that if I have like 4 or 5 of those footers in the design, it'll show that amount of space in the report (even though they're conditionally suppressed)

Any advice would be enormously appreciated! Thanks!! [reading]

How are you suppressing these page footers?

They shouldn't display if you use Right click the footer->
X-2 next to Suppress and enter the formula.

A quick test is to put 1=1 in there which will always result in suppression.

It almost sounds like you are supressing certain fields in the footers rather than the footers themselves...

I don't see the purpose of the "Underlay"

Why don't you just have a series of Pagefooter sections of appropriate size and content and use the "conditional suppress" to enable or suppress each subsection Jim Broadbent
