Crystal 8.5

My subreports are suppressing correctly when I run it interactively but not so when I run it in batch.

I am using MS Scheduled Task.

I forgot to mention that I am exporting the output to a pdf file.

More details, please. What is it that is not working? "Suppress" covers a pretty large area.

On the main report, I have details about an incident

On my subreports that are linked by incident number, I have
more optional detail information relating to the incident.

Main Report
Header - Incident information
Detail a - Additional Incident info
Detail b - I may have a business as a victim
Detail c - I may have a person as victim
Detail d - I may have a person reporting, witnessing or other involved in the incident
Detail e - I may have a suspect or arrest
Detail f - I may have a partial person involved
Detail g - I may have a partial vehicle involved
Detail f - I may have a vehicle involved
Detail g - I may have weapons involved
Detail h - I may have property involved
Detail i - Summary notes about the incident

Each of the above subreports are contained in its own detail section (b - h) may or may not have data associated with the incident. Within the main report, I removed all borders and reduced the height of the subreport to as small as possible. I also of reduced the height of the associated section containing the subreport.

I've gone to File... options... Reporting tab and check the "Suppress printing if no records" on both the Main and Subreports

I've gone to File... Report Options and checked "Suppress printing if no records" on both the main and subreports

I've gone to Format... Section... and check "Suppress blank sections" on both the main and subreports

When I run this report directly from crystal, the sections without data is suppressed on the report and this is what I want.

However, when I run the same report using VB6, the subreport header information for every section is printed regardless of whether there is data or not.

Does this help?

Found my problem

Needed to suppress all sections in the subreports and insert a formula in each suppressed section to check for null

if isnull({subreport.limk} then
true
else
false

I am having the same problem, but I am getting things that are not supressing via a PDF dump through an ASP Application via COM object. Is there anything in the COM object that needs to be set or turned on? I have added a formula for each section and it makes no difference...
