Suppress Keep Group together on first page

In there any way of suppresing Keep Group together (as set in the Insert Group options) on page 1.

It does everything I need unless the very first group is too big for page one, yielding a blank first page.

There is no conditional setting for "Keep group together". If you are not using the report header, suppress it, or format it to new page after, and see if that helps.
