Using CR XI. I have a Group 1 Header I want to suppress based on the results displayed in the Group 1 Footer. I return a value in the footer, if this value is greater than zero I want to display the group information. I have sub groups GH2 that is breaking up my information that I wish to display if the correct condition are met. Of course, now when I put this formula in the Group Header I get zero results. Because the information hasn't been process yet I think. How do I get the group 1 to suppress based on the group 1 footer total?

You have to show us the formula you used for the result in the group footer, or if you are using a running total, please say so and why.

Group 1 - Lender Group. Group 2 is grouped by eligible or ineligible loans. The eligible group uses five 5 different commission formula payouts. The formula {@total premium} is a sum of five 5 different commission formula payouts ({@1000000} + {@1000000 to 3000000} + {@3000000 to 5000000} + {@5000000 to 10000000} + {@>10000000}. The formula {@total premium} can also be move and displayed in the Group 1 Footer. Based on this value I want to choose to display this Group 1 or not. Basically, if no commission is due move to the next Lend Group and display loans and payouts.

Are you able to do a single 'summary total' that would be zero if no commission is due? It doesn't need to have the correct amount of commission, just an indiciation that there should be some.

If so, that's a way to have the value available for the group header, or for suppressing the group.

If you're not already familiar with Crystal's automated totals, see FAQ767-6524.

If you are saying that {@total premuim} displays the correct value for the group whether placed in the the group header, details, or group footer, then you can go into the section expert and select all displayed sections that you want conditionally suppressed->suppress->x+2 and enter:

{@total premium} = 0

If that is NOT the case, then you need to show the content of your formulas.

MADAWC - Thanks for the reference "Summary totals are are based directly on the data. This means that they can be shown in the header. I used this with some formulas and was able to have the report work as needed. This was a good reference tool, again thanks.
LBASS - The {@total premium} = 0, I was using in the report but couldn't reference it in the header. {@total premium} = 0 is used in some other sections of the report

Can't help you if you do not show the content of your formula and any nested formulas.
