Hi

I need to introduce a support ticket system into my work place, so that internal users can submit tickets for support issues.

Does anyone have any recommendations for web based appliation that I can run on my LAN to handle this... would be nice if was free as well :)

Thanks

Windows 2003 doesn't come with a helpdesk ticketing system. Whoever told you that was mistaken.
And I certainly wouldn't want to use it for a helpdesk ticketing system.

SBS does come with a SharePoint Help Desk application and for SMALL businesses I have found it works very well. If you have more than 75 users then it is probably not robust enough, but for 75 and less users it works well. If your SharePoint is using SQL and not MSDE then you get full text search, so it becomes easy to lookup how you solved problems in the past.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
