Support for Crystal report Control (ocx)

I saw in an earlier post that the ocx will be supported up to version 8.5. Does that mean that Crystal reports will not help with questions or that the ocx will not function if the report is generated with the post-8.5 crpe32.dll? Just kind of curious.
 
I believe it means that you can't use the .ocx to open a report written in versions above 8.5.

Thanks for the info. I hope we will get a chance to convert to the RDC before we have to worry about it.
 
The OCX doesn't exist in a CR9 or 10 version.

As the CR9 report format is different you will need to use the RDC to view reports designed with CR9 or 10.

The RDC has been around since CR7, and we've been recommended to upgrade to it for years. Now it is essential to migrate to the RDC.
