Have just reformatted a clients PC with the recovery disk that came with the PC, (HP Brio). It's using Win98 SE.
The problem I'm having is that I went to set up file and print sharing and after I ticked the two boxes for it, clicked ok, it asked me for the Win98 CD for files, I managed to point it to places like C:\windows\system\ and C:\windows etc for the necessary files, except for one...
vserver.vxd so even after searching the web I could not find it to download. So I had to skip the file.
Networking and file sharing ARE ok, but at boot up there is a message saying that a referenced file is missing, click ok to continue. This happens all the time, and I cant get a win98 cd anywhere to copy in the file.....
Can anyone please provide the missing file????
If so that would be great.

If you have it can you please send to jking@acumis.com

Thanks Ajnin,
but I found a quicker way of doing it, might be not the best solution but saves me some precious time!!

went into REGEDIT, went to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD
and deleted the vserver key.

That did the job!! Jay~
