Superconsole 1000 Answering Call Problem

I have a Mitel SX200 with a Superconsole 1000 that has no problems answering the first trunk on incoming calls. If a call comes in on trunk #2 or #3, the call rings in, goes away, rings in, goes away, etc. and you have to hit the answer button a couple of times in order to answer those (2) trunks. Does this sound like a DNIC, LS/GS Trunk, or Superconsole 1000 problem? Is there anyway to test the individual pieces? Thanks.

Man, you have a good one.

Can you print out FORM 14 and the COS for those trunks... Perhaps I can find something from those forms.

I'll get that info and pass it along. Thanks for your immediate response.

Well, your a little late for that thanksgiving holiday! We have it around the 21st of October. You guys have it tomorrow.

Get me a print out of the TRUNK DESCRIPTOR and CLASS OF SERVICE. I will go from there. I would assume TRUNK1 has the same DESCRIPTOR AND COS of 2 and 3?

Failing finding anything in the two forms, I would suggest moving the console to a different circuit (not too hard).

If you move it and it still doesn't work, then we have to look at a software error/bug. I'm sure we will get it.

Sorry it took so long to get back, but other fires came up. The trunks #1-#3 all have the same trunk descriptor and cos. Also, I'm now experiencing outgoing hung trunks. Can you assist me in moving the console to a different port? Currently, it's on 1-4-1 and it appears that ports 1-4-2, 1-4-3, and 1-4-4 are being used (1-4-3 & 1-4-4 are for the reservation sysem PKM48)...so I'm thinking 1-4-5? Thanks.

I ran a maintenance test on the Console port and the test came back as "inconclusive". Does anyone know what this means? Does that mean that the card or the console is bad?

Sounds like it's having a hard time "communicating" with the console.

Have you replaced the console?

Not yet. Is there an easy way to just move the console from 1-4-1 to 1-4-5? Is there a possibility that it's the DNIC card? Thanks.

There is a possibility. If it was me, I would do the following in order:

1) Change the console if i had a spare (console)
2) Change the DNIC card if I had a spare (DNIC circuit on the card)
3) Change the circuit on the card (backplane/software issue).

In () you will see what that will solve, if it is the problem. 2&3 are in order and how I would do it.

Can you guide me through changing the console to a different DNIC circuit? It's on 1-4-1 and I would like to change it to 1-4-5. Is it just the Console Form that I need to change or also the form that has the Key Indications? Thanks Again!

Do I just need to delete the circuit and then add it to the new circuit using Forms 07 & 08? If so, is there a certain order? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I guess the first question is, do you have a second console programmed on the system?

You have to delete the LDNs from the console, but if the LDNs only appear on the one console, you won't be able to delete them. You have to go into your reroute table (form 19) and into your Non-Dial Trunks (form 14) and program those lines that are ring at the LDNs to ring somewhere else (temporarily).

1) Record all information from forms 7, 8, 14, and 19.
2) Remove the LDNs you can from form 8
3) Reroute the LDNs in form 14 and 19 to a different phone temp.
4) Remove all the LDNs you changed in forms 14 and 19 from the console (delete them).
5) For into form 7 and delete the console.
6) Still in form 7 add the console into the new circuit.
7) Reprogram the lines (form 14 and 19) back to be the correct LDNs
8) Put the LDNs back on the console (form 8).

Questions?

I do not have another console programmed on the system and since I'm not well versed on programming the SX200, it appears that I could make things worse before I make them better. Any chance of getting some remote assistance? Is there a way for me to contact your company for Technical support?

Do you have a modem on this system?
Where is the system located....
Send me your e-mail address, and I'll e-mail you off line..

There is a modem on the system and i did try to send my email in an earlier email but I was slapped by the webmaster for doing that and he removed my earlier reponse. I don't want to violate any rules of this forum. You can locate my site by putting a hyphen between wi and fi and adding a dot net to the end of it. That will have a way for you to reach me unless you know of another way?
