Hello,

Can someone direct me to the command to find the FRU information for physical hardware installed within a SUN machine?

For example, AIX users type lscfg -vp sys0, which returns all hardware devices with FRU's.

Thanks!

With Solaris 9, there is a prtfru command. It comes with the SUNWfruid package. I just tried it on my old E450 and got the message "This system does not provide FRU ID data".

the prtfru is usable on Solaris 8 but only the new SunFire systems implements the features.

Otherwise prtconf, prtdiag will give very limited info.

Thanks gang...I've used both prtconf and prtdiag, just hoping there was something a little more verbose, for older hardware configuarations, like the prtfru command.
Thanks again!!
