Hi all,

I received the following message on my Sun Server E220R.

Mar 23 10:12:44 unix: [ID 882636 kern.warning] WARNING: interrupt level 9 not serviced

Does anyone of you have any idea what could be the problem?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Navin

Thanx for the information but how would I know which patch I have to install...and if it is related to OBP then I have same patch level (OBP version 3.23.1) on another server of same model and same OS (Solaris 8) and that is working fine....

Hello NavinB,

I'm facing the same issues as yours.
The only difference is that I can see in the message file
the following:

[ID 882636 kern.warning] WARNING: interrupt level 1 not serviced

That is the level is 1, not 9. The messages appeares for a long time now, but this morning the system just hanged up.

And I'm not sure I know how to detect what patch should I install. And what's this error actualy relating to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Must must install the following patch:

Patch-ID# 109896-08
Keywords: USB usb_mid usba scsa2usb AC-97 audio mixer audiots cpr
Synopsis: SunOS 5.8: USB and Audio Framework patch
Date: May/10/2002

if this not work, make the following:

reboot with the following command:

mkdir -p /etc/backup
mv /etc/path_to_inst* /etc/backup
reboot -- -arv

Respond "y" to the question "Do you want to rebuild path_to_inst?".
Otherwise accept defaults.
