sun netra t1 network address config

Hi
I am using sun netra t1 and I want to set new ip address instead of old one. I used following steps:

#ifconfig hme0 down
#ifconfig hme0 unplumb
#ifconfig hme0 plumb
#ifconfig hme0 172.16.31.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up

create entries in
/etc/hosts
/etc/netmasks
/etc/inet/hosts

but after the reboot old ips are apearing.
How can i change it permanatly ?

Look in the /etc/hostname.hme0

only the hostname "zoom" is there
