Sun CPU's Speed?

Is there any way to tell the speed of a sun CPU by looking at it? I see a bunch of numbers on the processor. Does 4849-03 mean anything?

check this:

/usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v

This will show you the information you need

Physically looking at the processor you should see a 501-xxxx part number. You can go online at system handbook, full component list) and cross reference the P/N.

On line use the command psrinfo -v .
