I am trying to write a report that has a column that is a count of the number of occurances that has a running sum total in the report footer section. With those two columns, I want to determine a percentage of the number of occurances for the one type divided by the sum of the entire group. what is the best way to do this. Any help is appreciated.

Type Count Percent
A 5 50%
B 0 0%
C 3 30%
D 2 20%
Total: 10 100%

Thanks

Is the Type field in the detail section? If so, try
=[CountField]/Sum([CountField])

If this doesn't work, you will need to provide more information about your report grouping.

When I try that, I get prompted to enter a Parameter value for the ccount field. The only groupings that are used are in the query, and there are none on the report.

Thanks

You need to substitute your count field for my guess of your field name.

HELP!
Using CR v10

I have tried to sum a formula that calculate the percentage of dollars in each Group - this formula is located GF 2. I need to accumulate (sum) these percentages calculated by the formula ({@O/S % of Total} to display in GF 1 as the Grand Total of the accumulated percentages.

I have tried to create a formula to set the variable to accumulate the %'s and then another formula to place in the GF 1 to display the variable with the accumulation and nuttin' seems to work.

What am I missing?
