Hi there,

Sorry this has been posted a lot, couldn't find one that I could use as a template.

Need to sum up $value on only one record which are duplicated.
Ex:
Group1 - (Transit) ABC
Group2 - (App#) 123
Detail
(App#)123 - (Transit) ABC - $1,000
(App#)123 - (Transit) ABC - $1,000
(App#)123 - (Transit) ABC - $1,000
Group2 - (App#) 890
(App#)890 - (Transit) ABC - $2,000
(App#)890 - (Transit) ABC - $2,000
(App#)890 - (Transit) ABC - $2,000

Need to show a sum at the group 1 level but not summing up the duplicate records. I.e, Group 1 for ABC value should = $3,000 (App890 + App123) not $9,000.

I think it may have something to do with runningtotals?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Insert a running total that sums amount, evaluates on change of group #2, reset on change of group #1. Place it in the group #1 footer only.

Thanks LB works great! Was originally resetting on change of field.
